The Second Presbyterian Church Soup Kitchen serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This ministry has been serving the people of the Spartanburg area for over 25 years. The Soup Kitchen has one paid employee, the director, Ms. Lou Landrum and a part-time assistant. The daily operation of the kitchen is run entirely by area volunteers that prepare the meals each day along with cleaning and basic maintenance of the kitchen facility.
Monetary donations and in-kind gifts come from local individuals, churches, businesses and civic organizations which allows the Soup Kitchen to serve this community. more info
